چکیده
Clopidogrel is recommended as part of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAT) for clot prevention in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Clopidogrel is a prodrug that requires activation by CYP2C19 enzymes in the liver. It is expected that 16% to 50% of clopidogrel-treated patients who have ACS may not fully benefit from the protective effect of clopidogrel, potentially remaining at an increased risk of experiencing a major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE), because loss-offunction (LOF) mutations in the CYP2C19 gene prevent them from fully metabolizing clopidogrel. 1-3

Association of Troponin-I Level on Admission with 6-month Clinical Consequences in Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients: A Preventive Approach in Patient Care
Background: Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Therefore, it is important to predict the future consequences of the disease in patients who have recovered. Objectives: We sought to determine the relationship between troponin-I level and 6-month clinical consequences (i.e., re-infarction, death, re-angiography and coronary artery bypass grafting) in patients w...
متن کاملThe Impact of Smoking Cessation Training-Counseling Programs on Success of Quitting Smoking in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome
Background: The smokers who use supportive programs have a greater chance to quit smoking. Smoking cessation recommendation is one of the most important prevention and treatment methods mentioned in care guidelines provided for patients with acute coronary syndrome. Aim: The main objective of this study is to determine the effects of training-counseling programs on smoking cessation in patients...

متن کاملEffect of Teach- Back on Treatment Adherence in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome: A Semi-Experimental Study
Background and purpose: Patients with acute coronary syndrome suffer from relapse and progression of disability due to poor adherence to treatment plans. The current study aimed to determine the effect of teach-back on treatment adherence in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Materials and methods: A semi-experimental study was carried out in 70 patients with acute coronary syndrome in car...
متن کاملCurcuma Longa ameliorates hemodynamic indices in patients with acute coronary syndrome
Introduction: Acute coronary syndrome, the most common form of heart disease, is the main cause of disability and death. It impairs the hemodynamic indices, leading to endangering the patients' condition. Curcuma Longa modulates blood pressure, breathing parameters, and temperature. The present study aimed to investigate the possible protective effects of Curcuma Longa on hemodynamic indices in...
